About the project
The challenge is to "bring a quote to life through animation. Enhance and expand the understanding of the original quote."
Two concepts will be pitched for the same quote. One will be selected and adopted into a 10 second animation. There will be two different size ratios for BrainyQuotes use.

Concepts
This concept interprets a lack of silence as busy thoughts. By using busy visuals this idea reflects on the quote. I wanted to create a piece that was seemingly overwhelming and visually stimulating. I created this visual by adding multiple layered textures and warp tools in AfterEffects

This concept is based on the ocean and its waves. The ocean is in a constant state of movement and is never still. You can always hear the crashing of waves no matter how still the water may appear. The idea of constant noise and turbulence reflects the selected quote. I created this piece in a collage style to give it a more authentic tone paired with a monochromatic palette to enhance a sense of mood.

the passes
This first-pass animation is very rough, to say the least. My goal with this pass was to create all the necessary assets I would need to complete the animation and block out the timing of the first wave. My notes for the next pass were as follows:

experiment with type treatment and lower frame rate
This second-pass animation now has all of the visuals present. My goal with this pass was to finesse the first transition animation as well as block out the second big wave. I also implemented all of my revision notes.
This third-pass animation was almost there. My goal moving forward from this pass was to finesse the final wave timing well as the overall shape movement of the wave.
